Hey there!
Bad Beard Events has been part of Chattanooga’s trail running community for many years.
Our first races took place in 2001, when a local runner started two of the area’s earliest trail events: River Gorge and the StumpJump 50K. The sport has grown a lot since then, but our reason for hosting these races is still the same.
We love the trails and this community, and we hope everyone gets a chance to experience the places that make Chattanooga and the Southeast so special.
Our events include everything from short runs to ultramarathons. Some people come to compete, some are running their first trail race, and others return year after year. Our goal is for everyone to feel welcome.
We’re grateful for the local businesses, volunteers, and runners who support these events. Their help lets us put on great races and give back to the groups that protect the land and care for the trails we use.
In the end, Bad Beard is all about good races, good people, great trails, and taking care of the places that make it all possible.
